LEGO Sphere

After looking at a few user groups on Flickr and some r/AFOL links, I learned about some advanced LEGO building techniques utilizing SNOT pieces. SNOT stands for Studs Not On Top and allows users to build pieces that face 90 or 180 degrees from their original orientation. Using a lot of flats, I created 6 side pieces that join together with SNOT pieces to form a LEGO sphere.

LEGO Sphere

Not the most photogenic color, but it’s a sphere that’s about the size of a cat’s head.

LEGO Sphere 2

Sphere next to cat’s head for scale reference.

This model is really neat and taught me a lot about a complicated new building process.

Thanks for Looking!
